About AITHYRA
AITHYRA was founded in September 2024 and will combine the best of academic, corporate, and start-up worlds, and will have a mixture of AI and life science experts. In the ultimate expansion state, AITHYRA is envisioned to have 10-14 junior and senior research groups, as well as many global collaborators, very substantial computational and experimental infrastructure, and a state-of-the-art AI-driven robotic lab. With a generous donation from the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation, the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) is hosting AITHYRA in Vienna.
Our Mission & Principles
The mission of AITHYRA is to fundamentally transform biomedical science by embedding artificial intelligence as a co-pilot throughout the entire scientific process-from hypothesis generation and experimental design to biological interpretation and therapeutic innovation. Through a coherent integration of AI/ML across biological scales, the goal is to improve our understanding of the root cause of diseases, their diagnosis and the conceptualization of novel therapeutic strategies while inspiring new innovations in AI/ML. What we offer / Benefits

- Flexible working hours: We believe work-life balance leads to better results. The standard workweek consists of 40 hours, with core working hours from Monday to Thursday, 09:00–15:00, and Friday, 09:00–13:00. Researchers are eligible for up to one home office day per week.

Your Onboarding
Once you join, you will take part in several onboarding sessions covering HR, IT, AI, and Health & Safety.
These sessions will help you get familiar with our ways of working and provide the information you need to get started confidently.
During your first three months, HR and your supervisor will support you as you settle into your role, become familiar with the company, and integrate into the team.
